The Dana 35 rear axle is very common for Jeep Wranglers, Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. There is a carrier break between the 3.31 / 3.55 ratios. If going from a ratio at one side of that break to the other a new carrier will be required.

Yukon ring and pinion gears are put through the most rigorous development in the industry. Each ring and pinion is made from 8620 triple alloy (chrome-nickel-moly) steel. Computer controlled machining is followed by the latest gear cutting technology and superior heat-treating. Yukon finishs each gear with extra lapping for an ideal contact pattern and smoother, quieter operation.
