Product DescriptionThe 6" system was modeled using the most current computer design software allowing our engineers to tweak each new component for optimum performance. Superlift's replacement knuckle system installs quick and easy, plus the vehicle can be returned to stock later if desired. The keys to attaining optimum vehicle driveability and component service life are: maintaining proper coil spring rates and shock dampening, suspension travel control, steering geometry and CV axle operating angles. New shock towers that relocate the tops of the factory coilovers plus relocation brackets for the factory rear Autoride or Air-Ride shocks allowing you to retain the factory units. Pre-load rings, installed below the coil springs, slightly firm-up spring rate. The stock upper control arms remain in their factory location, while crossmembers relocate the lower control arms downward 5". New cast ductile iron knuckles span the increased vertical distance between the upper and lower arms. Superlift's knuckles yield the best possible alignment specifications – they maintain zero degrees of additional camber and toe angle change throughout the suspension travel cycle. This produces rock-solid drivability traits, plus our knuckle design accepts the factory spare tire and wheel. Beefy lower control arm crossmembers, and the remainder of each system's load-bearing bracketry, are laser cut from 1/4" thick plate steel. On 4WD versions the front differential is lowered a full 4" to reduce CV axle angle and premature axle component wear. Additionally, the front differential's structural integrity is not compromised since no cutting is required. Also, the factory front drive shaft is retained. A new differential skid plate connects and strengthens the front / rear crossmembers while protecting the 4WD front axle's center section. Kicker braces, with Urethane bushed eyes, span from the rear crossmember back to the frame to increase rigidity. Only fits 4WD 1/2 ton Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban or Avalanche with or with out factory electronic shocks (auto-ride). Will not fit Denali or Escalade. Photos may differ from actual products included |
