SUCKS!
The install is allot more difficult that a std. diff / carrier. The Dana 30 spacifically is not designed well to fit with the shim pack behind the bearings. The bearings & shims do NOT sit well against the magnet & the dimension changes w/ each attempted setup.
also several instances where the magnet did not fully lock & got stuck on a slippery surface.
Well as with any differential setup, there can be some issues. What reviewer #1 said is true, the shim will not sit flush on the magnet side in stock form and had to be trimmed down to fit. Auburn should provide a modified shim pack with each Dana 30 kit. Engagement at the flip of a switch? Sometimes instantly, other times I have to work the steering wheel to insure a full lockup. Disengagement can be smooth or with a loud bang depending on load. Limited slip when not fully engaged?

I've finally had a chance to use the new locker. The install was easy, no more complicated than a normal gear install once you get over the butterflys of drilling a hole in your case :).
The maiden run was @ Grand Slam Midwest in the Badlands located in Attica Indiana. The locker performed flawlessly. There is no noise associated with locking and unlocking....th- ere was never any binding to unlock. Everytime I got to where I could not progress forward any more without a lot of wheel spin I simply flipped the switch and on I went. I was very impressed and am very pleased with my purchase.
