Product Description For most 2WD and 4WD GM, Ford, Dodge and Toyota vehicles.
Virtually every vehicle manufactured since 1992 is equipped with an electronic speedometer that uses a sensor to read vehicle speed rather than a mechanical cable. This speed signal is a big factor in the overall performance equation. The speed sensor sends its signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM), the Power train Control Module, transmission, and if applicable, the anti-lock system "brain." When tire height and/or axle gearing is altered, these control units receive erroneous information. In all but the most extreme cases (really huge tires), an incorrectly calibrated vehicle will operate, but not at its peak. For example: if a vehicle is factory equipped with 28" tall tires and they are changed to 35s, a 20% change has occurred. Unless remedied, the various control systems will "think" that the vehicle is traveling 20% slower than it actually is. To make matters worse, newer computer-controlled vehicles have become extremely sensitive to changes in tire diameter and axle gear ratio. The reduction in performance can be difficult to gauge, but it is real. Plus, the number and degree of malfunctions increase as speed signal inaccuracy increases. The TruSpeed addresses all speed signal-related problems; it doesn't just correct the speedometer. How? The TruSpeed module installs in-line with the factory electronic speed sensor and converts the wrong speed signal into the correct one for your vehicle's new tire and/or axle gear ratio combination. Because the signal is altered at its source, all speed-sensitive vehicle systems will receive the correct speed data, which restores all proper functions. The TruSpeed is available for most domestic and import vehicles equipped with an electronic speedometer. Superlift TruSpeed Speed Sensor Calibrator Main Features:

Great product. Recommend to anybody that uses larger than stock tires. My speedo is calibrated better than new & the tranny shifts perfectly now.
(2000 Tundra)
Easy installation, about an hour start to finish. I Callibrated my speedo after installation with a GPS and then double checked with a Speed Radar, and my speedo seems to be dead on.
Shipped quick all parts there with detailed instructions. Installed in about fifteen minutes and set the calibration according to the charts. I did a gear swap and larger tires both. Checked the speedometer with a garmin gps and was within 1/2 a mile an hour. Good product and thanks agian 4ws.
Tru speed works great.
One hitch though. The directions do not include how to connect it to RAMs with Rear Wheel ABS . So if you have a RWAL then it needs to be connected between the CAB and the PCM, to the white wire with the orange stripe.
THANKS FOR THIS GREAT PRODUCT, I TOOK A LITTLE EXTRA TIME TO DO THE INSTALL BECAUSE I THOUGHT "IT CAN'T BE THIS EASY". BUT IT WAS. AGAIN, THANKS
Easy to understand instructions. Best way to calibrate after installation is with a small GPS unit. Was able to calibrate down to a tenth of a mph. Highly recommend.
Great product purchased from a fabulous company. Purchase was easy and product arrived on time. Installation was straight-forwar- d and initial calibration was on the money (I hd already calculated percentage error and used the "percentag- e calabration&quo- t; instructions included with unit). My speedo now agrees perfectly with my GPS. And to think my local dealer said it couldn't be done.
This was the perfect part for a perfect lift. In lifting a truck, changing tire ratios and gearing ratios is a job, and having this module helps complete the project and complete it right. There was indeed a performance difference after adding this recalibrator. Shift points became accurate, the converter knows when to lock up, fuel consumption declined considerably (15 MPG now... about 12 MPG before adding the module)....I had lifted this truck prior to adding this recalibrator and the truck was very sluggish....aft- er adding it I was amazed on how the vehicle was so speed dependant and that a
I purchased the TruSpeed Speedometer Recalibrator for my husband because he was having problems with his Z71 shifting properly. He installed it with no problems in about an hour. He used his hand held radar unit to check his speed. Sweet! His baby runs like a charm. You guys are hip!
This product works great. I used the percentage to calibrate my truck. I have it on an 04 F-250 Super duty. Installation is a bit of a pain though. Just so everyone knows for this year truck the wire you are looking for is grey with a black strip, located in the loom which holds about 25 wires which is along the driver fender wall directly under the battery and computer. I found it easier to pull the battery and loosen the battery tray and unbolt the computer mounted to the fender wall next to the battery then reach down pull the yellowish looking wire loom up after popping off a few plastic c | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
